    November  2016

This was a family vacation, 5 adults and 3 kids. The location was easy to get to on all the various transports (at one time or another, we rode them all). The staff was exceptional! No question was too much and they treated you like a friend. They were very knowledgeable and happy to share info about their great city and area. Our rooms were very clean and the breakfast suited the wide range of travelers in our group. Pool was a little small but the kidos didn't complain, they just enjoyed! Would stay here again and recommend to others.

Everything was very nice about the hotel, but the two concierge/greeters we encountered from Thursday Nov 3rd thru Sunday Nov 6th(forgot their names) were excellent, they went above and beyond to show professional customer service with a friendly personal manner. They deserve a raise!:-)

    Had no complaints.

  • Older travelers

The location was excellent and within walking distance of most of the main sights. The hotel was clean and the complimentary breakfast was very good. The hotel was good value for money and we would have no hesitation in staying there again..

There was a large event held on the weekend we were there, the city was closed to traffic for 4 hours while this took place and although the hotel is only 15 minutes walk away the staff knew nothing about the event. I was surprised by this and think that the staff should have more knowledge of events of this magnitude that are happening close by so that they are able to advise guests.

  • Couple

Good sized clean room, helpful staff and a convenient location for accessing all the main sites DC has to offer.

  • Group of friends

It is impossible to pay in cash in advance. Besides, there is a difference between booking price and room rates in final invoice. However, when printed booking confirmation was presented, hotel staff updated the final invoice. It is very unpleasant procedure.

  • Single

The room was clean. The hotel staff was helpful with questions about site seeing. The free internet was easy to access.

The toilet was very slow/ semi-clogged when I got to my room. I didn't ask for service as I didn't want to be disturbed. The complimentary breakfast is nothing to write home about. The omelettes are mass produced, from a cookie-cutter pan and then filled with nacho cheese. The french toast is actually just french toast sticks, probably from a box. Although I didn't try the pastries, the bagels were very hard. I ate breakfast at 6:30am, so the food had not been sitting out very long.

  • Older travelers

I liked that we had a fridge, microwave and a kingsize bed. Very comfortable.

  • Couple

fine although they had already confirmed the booking (and therefore upon arrival) had to physically check the room as they we were already checked-in as guests!

  • Couple

Overall it was great, staff are very helpful and the room was very good. For the price we paid it was worth it 100% . I'd recommend this hotel. * Thumbs up*

One bad thing is that the window in the room can not be opened but other then that it was sweet

  • Single

I had a corner room with a king-size bed - very comfortable. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.

Hot water took several minutes to reach the bathroom.

  • Couple

The breakfasts were very good. They always had hot food, milk and cereal, pastries, and decent coffee! The room was more comfortable than a much higher end hotel that we stayed at in another part of DC.

The neighborhood seemed a little rough. There is a small park across the street from the hotel that usually had people loitering in it. However my wife and I walked past it several times and we were never bothered.

  • Family with children

Convenient for sights, we were there for open house at GWU with my daughter. Although a long walk to most touristy bits, still good situation and near to restaurants, shops etc

Seemed a little "tired". Our room was clean but noticed crumbs under air conditioner and an old receipt down the back of table which obviously was not ours so not as clean as should be! Also bathroom floor felt kind of sticky.

  • Single

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is conveniently situated near most of the sites we wanted to visit and very close to a Metro station.

The breakfast area was not big enough for all the guests.

  • Family with children

Most landmarks were easily accessible from this location. Staff was very attentive especially considering the number of guests at the hotel. A lightbulb in our bathroom was flickering as if it needed replaced. I forgot to mention this to the desk. The second day, the maid obviously noticed and it was replaced while we were out!

Children were in the exercise room unsupervised and playing w/ the equipment on several different occasions. I don't see this primarily as the hotel's responsibility, but it was a nuisance.

  • Group of friends

Location is very convenient to access every land mark and etc.

I stayed in your hotel for 5 nights in Room 215 and the first thing I noticed was bath room lock in not operation, you can have a look it migth still the same. Second thing what me and my family noticed was soon after we turn off the lights the mice started entering in the room. Thirdly, the swimming pool water was dirty and facility was out of service. Overall, this is bad experience to recommand to my friends, relatives and family members.

  • Older travelers

That they moved us to a better room and te breakfast. 2 had cookies and water.

Initially put in much smaller room than paid for 2. The tv did not work. 3. Aircondituoner was on/off extremes 4. When we got larger room it dent resemble the pict I was shown, however we were changed a 3rd time which was much better. The maid staff left our door unlocked after cleaning but nothing was stolen.
